GENESIS 23:3 Today’s write up will depart slightly from my normal messages of exhortation. For it is dedicated to honoring the memory of my mother, Mad. Mary Ama Ofosuaa, whose funeral rites holds over this weekend. Death, as we are all aware, is a debt we owe. The late musical icon, Michael Jackson put it this way, "we start dying the moment we are born". Despite the certainty of death, it is often hard to take when it hits so close to home. You looked so strong, vibrant and so full of life. In your ninety years sojourn on earth, l don’t recall ever visiting you at the hospital. At a point in time, l had this misguided belief that you would always be there! It is often said that "...the passing away of an o

Life, it must be understood, does not give you what you beg for, but rather what you fight for. George Foreman, the renown boxer, asserted that ‘champions are not made in the ring, they are only recognized.’ In Acts 12, we read the account of how Herod decided to deal ruthlessly with the Church. Ramson Asante Darteh Saturday, 24th November 2018 GUARDING A CONCRETE SLAB Reference:1 Timothy 4:7 ‘But refuse profane and old wives' fables, and exercise thyself rather unto godliness’ The story is told of an army general, who observed a strange phenomenon when he took command of a military unit. There was this large concrete slab, which was regularly guided by four armed men. After several enquiries failed to offer any tangible reason for this practice; which  had gone on for nearly eighty years, he decided to investigate it. At the ilibrary, he came across a very interesting ‘revelation’ from an old manuscript. This particular slab, in the process of it being laid for an event; was constantly being marred by wild animals. This went on for a while till four armed guards were dispatched to protect it for three weeks, to enable it solidify. Unfortunately, the General who commissioned the project was transferred before the three weeks duration.

Life can seem cruel and unfair at times: as in the case of this widow of Nain. Her tears for her late husband had hardly dried, when she also lost her only son. The rumor mill went into a frenzy. She was accused of practicing witchcraft..."she is a witch, who after killing her husband, has also killed her son". They said.  Jesus Christ however empathized with her situation. . He had compassion on her, and intervened at the right time. He delivered her son from death. "... And he came and touched the bier:..And he said, Young man, I say unto thee, Arise. And he that was dead sat up, and began to speak. And he d
