*TOPIC: TAKING IT BY FORCE*

*Reference*:Mathew 11:22
"...And from the days of John the Baptist until now the kingdom of heaven suffereth violence, and the violent take it by force..."

Life, it must be understood, does not give you what you beg for, but rather what you fight for. George Foreman, the renown boxer, asserted that ‘champions are not made in the ring, they are only recognized.’

In Acts 12, we read the account of how Herod decided to deal ruthlessly with the Church. He initially cut off the head of James with the sword, and when he saw that it pleased the Jews ...he proceeded further to take Peter also...and delivered him to four quaternions of soldiers to keep him; intending after Easter to bring him forth to the people.’ Vs.3-4

When James was taken by Herod, the Church had hoped that God would intervene and save him. It never happened and he ended up dead.

Lesson well learnt, they became violent in prayers when Peter was taking and Heaven responded!

‘Peter therefore was kept in prison: but prayer was made without ceasing of the church unto God for him’ Vs.5 .

An angel was despatched, who miraculously brought him out of prison, in spite of his chains and the sixteen soldiers guarding him!

Let's understand that evil triumphs so much when the Church refuses to pray,  as a closed mouth is a closed destiny. The devil is not moved by one’s sickness, poverty, troubles, circumstances or deprivation. What stops the devil in his tracks is ‘violence’ in prayers.  A praying Christian is always a threat to the kingdom of darkness.
Let us quit the pity parties, and determine to take the battle to the enemy, for prayers transcend boundaries, distances and time zones; and God does not keep prayers, but answers them. For if one refuses to give up, very soon the devil will give up on him. Shalom.

Right word

Right Word By Rev. Ramson Asante Darteh RAISING A NEW FOUNDATION. Reference: Psalm 11:3 ‘If the foundations be destroyed, what can the righteous do?’ David, who as a shepherd, had risked his life to fight off lions and bears; over lambs; now blessed and lifted as a King, had murdered a faithful soldier of his, for the sake of his wife. ‘And David said unto Saul, Thy servant kept his father's sheep, and there came a lion, and a bear, and took a lamb out of the flock: And I went out after him, and smote him, and delivered it out of his mouth: and when he arose against me, I caught him by his beard, and smote him, and slew him.’ 1 SAM, 17:34-25 Reminiscing over his action, he acknowledged that though he was a righteous man, his foundations were his undoing. Right from Abraham, his patriarch father, through Isaac and Jacob, they had always had a weakness for fair and beautiful women. No wonder, his righteousness could not deliver him from the ‘clutches’ of Beersheba, ...
